Over 35 years ago, when Kemper Hall closed its doors, no one could predict its fate. A vision of the future could not yet be seen by anyone. Kemper Center, Inc. was formed to help everyone focus their sights on the task at hand – saving the property and buildings.
Kemper Center has evolved over the past 25 years into a true historic landmark. We have completed the restoration of the Durkee Mansion, the premier historical residence in Kenosha County. The former Anderson mansion was transformed into the Anderson Arts Center, the only public fine arts center in Kenosha County.
The South Wing restoration project gave Kemper Center a state of the art conference and banquet facility. And renovating the third and fourth floors into our Lakefront Loft spaces for artists.
Future growth lies in expansion: increased rental of our facilities for weddings, receptions, conferences and banquets; and the expansion of art classes for children.
