The Port of Fear International Horror Film Festival celebrates everything horror, sci-fi, fantasy, and thriller. This event works to bring awareness to the Midwest film industry, inviting new artists and audiences to come and explore downtown Kenosha, WI.

Port of Fear starts Friday afternoon, September 13th, at 3:00pm, and occurs all day Saturday, September 14th. Tickets can be purchased through the Port of Fear website: https://www.portoffearff.com/

Have you visited the Durkee Mansion yet? 🏠 If you’ve ever wanted a closer look at some of the history of Kemper Center, come tour the Durkee Mansion! Built by senator Charles Durkee in the mid-19th century, this Italianate-Victorian mansion showcases the opulent lifestyle of its era and serves as a museum for Victorian home life. Admission is free, and the mansion is open for self-guided tours on the first and third weekends of every month from 1:30pm to 4:30pm.

Tomorrow at Kemper Center, we’re hosting the “How You Sliding? Custom Car and Bike Show”! Participating cars and bikes can arrive at 10:00am, with the event opening to the public at 12:00pm. Admission is free, and there will be food trucks, bounce houses, and more! So make sure to stop by and check it out. 🚘

Looking for a fun way to spend your Tuesday evening? Join us for our next Lakeside Lounge concert! 🎹 We’re excited to have Stu the Piano Guy with us tonight, as well as some incredible food trucks.

The grounds open at 5:00pm with the concert starting at 6:00pm. Grab a chair, invite a friend, and join us for a good time by the lake!

This past Sunday, we got to host the Fec’s Place Pig Roast! 🐖 This is our 4th year in a row hosting this family-friendly event, and we’re excited to be able to support the cause behind it. Not only is this day filled with fun festivities and delicious food, but the funds raised go towards helping wounded veterans! 🇺🇸 Thanks to all those who joined Fec’s Place for the day and helped provide aid to severely wounded returning veterans.

Today is the opening day of our “Quilting with the Stars” exhibit with the Southport Quilters Guild! 🎉 Join us any time between 1:00pm and 4:00pm to get the first look at this incredible new exhibit. Light refreshments will be provided.

If you can’t join us today, don’t worry! This exhibit will be open every day except Mondays until October 13th.
