In observance of Independence Day, our buildings and offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday of this week. Our grounds will remain open every day, so feel free to come watch fireworks from the park! We will be back this weekend with our tours in Durkee Mansion and the Rogue Artist exhibition in Anderson Arts Center. Until then, happy 4th of July! 🎆
Weekend Hours:
- Durkee Mansion tours: Saturday and Sunday from 1:30pm to 4:30pm.
- Rogue Artist Exhibit at Anderson: Saturday and Sunday from 1:00pm to 4:00pm
It’s a beautiful day in Kenosha, which means it’s the perfect time to visit the grounds at Kemper Center! ☀️ Sit by the fountain and get some sun, go for a stroll through the gardens or by the lake, take a snack break at the picnic tables, or run around in the shade with a furry friend. 🐶 There are plenty of ways to enjoy the day here at Kemper!

Our first Lakeside Lounge of the summer was a blast! 🎉 The weather was perfect, the food and drinks were delicious, and Colby, Ed, and Tom on the Fiddle put on an amazing show!

Week One of Art Camp for ages 6-11 starts on Monday! Here’s a chance to meet your teachers for the week:
🎨 Bianca Gonzalez will be teaching the first half of the morning with her Funconventional Art class! Bianca graduated from UW Parkside in 2023 with a Bachelors in Theatre Arts. She is currently a theater artist in the Milwaukee area and is a props worker, reupholster, scenic painter, and carpenter. She has lived in Kenosha county her whole life and is looking forward to helping kids find their love for art too!
🎨 Alyssa Ritacca will be teaching the second half of the morning with her Nature’s Mosaics class! Alyssa is a student at Parkside and enjoys music, volunteer work, and competing in local pageants. She has been interested in art ever since she was little and was even a student in the Art Camp here once! She looks forward to meeting all the artists that she’ll have in her class this year.
For those of you attending, remember to meet us behind the Kemper Center building back by Faulkner! Camp starts at 9:00am. ☀️
Happy Featured Item Friday! 🎨 This week, our featured art is this beautiful acrylic painting from Erico Ortiz. Erico is one of our Rogue Artists, and has multiple pieces on display now in the main and east galleries. If you like his style, then we have good news for you: there are miniature versions of his work available in the gift shop also!
The Rogue Artists Exhibition will be open every Tuesday-Sunday from 1:00pm-4:00pm until August 11th. Admission is free, so make sure to stop by and see all the incredible work from our amazing artists!

Tomorrow is the opening ceremony for our Rogue Artists exhibition! Join us from 1:00pm to 4:00pm to see the incredible artwork by the Rogue Artists and the Winter Juried Show solo artists. Admission is free and refreshments are provided! The show will then be open every Tuesday through Sunday from June 23rd to August 11th.
