Tomorrow at Kemper Center, we’re hosting the “How You Sliding? Custom Car and Bike Show”! Participating cars and bikes can arrive at 10:00am, with the event opening to the public at 12:00pm. Admission is free, and there will be food trucks, bounce houses, and more! So make sure to stop by and check it out. 🚘

This past Sunday, we got to host the Fec’s Place Pig Roast! 🐖 This is our 4th year in a row hosting this family-friendly event, and we’re excited to be able to support the cause behind it. Not only is this day filled with fun festivities and delicious food, but the funds raised go towards helping wounded veterans! 🇺🇸 Thanks to all those who joined Fec’s Place for the day and helped provide aid to severely wounded returning veterans.
This weekend at Kemper: Fec’s Place Annual Pig Roast! 🐖 From 12:00pm to 6:00pm on Sunday, there will be live music, yard games, raffles, food, and more. Plus, funds raised from this event will help benefit wounded veterans. So come on by and check out this event brought to you by Fec’s Place!
Only 4 days left until our next exhibition opens here at Anderson Arts Center! ⏰ Join us this Sunday, September 8th, for our opening reception of the Southport Quilters “Quilting with the Stars” exhibition! The gallery and gift shop will be open every day (except Mondays) from 1:00pm to 4:00pm starting this Sunday, with the opening reception featuring light refreshments. Tonight’s the night! 🎉 Join us for Music at Twilight with The Kal Bergendahl Project! Set up has begun, with the grounds opening at 5:00pm and concert starting at 6:00pm. Plus, we will have plenty of food trucks and drink options to choose from as you enjoy some great music on the lakeside.
We’re excited to announce that the Music at Twilight concert that was cancelled this week has been rescheduled for next week on Tuesday, September 3rd! ✨ We can’t wait to have The Kal Bergendahl Project here for another beautiful lakeside concert.
Both the art gallery and the gift shop are currently closed as we are work on clearing out our previous exhibit and preparing for the next one! Our next exhibit will open on September 8th and will be brought to us by the Southport Quilters Guild! 🪡
So until then, if you want to stop by the gift shop, we will be open at the next Music at Twilight concert on August 27th. Otherwise, mark your calendars for September 8th and prepare yourselves for an incredible new exhibit!
